Primary Tuition
All our tutors are qualified Primary School teachers working in local schools. All teachers have a degree and a postgraduate Certificate in Education. Most of our teachers within this sector are specialist Primary teachers and have taught children from form the ages of 4-11 years old.
All teachers have specialist phonic knowledge; the key ingredient needed to help your child to read and write. The following areas can be covered by our specialist Primary Teachers:
• Essential phonic teaching to aid reading and writing
• Key writing skills (including the use of connectives, adjectives, adverbs etc)
• Key reading comprehension skills
• Key grammar points
• SAT’s preparation
• Essential building blocks of Maths are revisited (the four key calculations)
• Practical/ multi-sensory work linked to key concepts (eg times tables)
• Number problems(working through multi-step problems)
• SAT’s preparation
• Advanced decimal/ percentage/fraction work
Lessons are fun and creative and guaranteed to engage your child throughout the time they are with us at Tuition Coventry. Each lesson is tailored to your child so that they are working on their own targets linked to a baseline assessment completed when your child starts tuition with us. The cost of 1 hour tuition is £28.
